!3 years have gone by. The passage of time makes the memories more precious and fonder. Like fine wine that grows sweeter with age. Today as i ponder the passing of my mother very soon, I look back at those I have lost along the way. The reality of life becomes very stark juxtaposed to the goofiness we shared in our youth. So precious was it back then but even more precious are the memories now. You were greatly loved and for that I thank God. I miss seeing your parents and your grandmother in the garage on their couch. I've only been to your house once although we were neighbours but always say your mom and grandmother in the garage as I walked by and we always said hi. I'm turning 60 in a couple of weeks and I miss those little things like a friendly hello from them. Although Heaven is a better place, I could delay it if I could only go back to those days in high school with a wonderful friend such as you. The only good thing about death is that you become a hundred times more loved. but the tears of those who will never forget you will always find their escape every now and then. And I can't ever forget you. I lean heavily on the fact that you are at peace. You're probably looking down laughing at how things turned out for me but not out of malice but from a Heavenly perspective and from the standpoint, "Dang. That crazy nut had it nailed and little does anybody know." Until our next shared laugh someday, somewhere, rest in holy peace, Danny.

It was a shock to all to hear of Dannys passing. Words cannot describe the feelings we all felt tonight as we said our last goodbyes to you. You were always like an older brother to me. Our family wishes to express our deepest sympathies to the entire Solic family. I also wish to share a poem as I am not good with words.
You and I will meet again
When we’re least expecting it
One day in some far off place
I will recognize your face
I won’t say goodbye my friend
For you and I will meet again.
We love you, and you will be sadly missed. Always in our hearts.

My deepest condolences to the entire Solic family, especially his children and brother, Mike. He has passed far too soon.
Danny was a dear friend in high school and we shared many special memories.
Everyone understands Danny had a heart of gold and everywhere he went he brought laughter and smiles.
Danny was naturally charismatic. He was caring and he was sincere. You were fortunate to have Danny as a friend.
I have not seen too much of Danny in the last few years but his infectious smile and happy ways were always there when I had the good fortune to see him.
I will miss you, Danny, but never forget you.

It is with a heavy heart i write this.... I first met Danny at Scott Park high school... i can still remember getting thrown out of history class with Dan because we were laughing and joking around.... If anyone could bring a laugh or a smile to your face it was Dan....My stomach would hurt from how hard he would make me laugh.... I also remeber coming to my house at lunch time where Dan and i would listen to music at volmes that shook my house.... I can especially recall listening to "I've seen all good people" by the group "Yes"......Dan was one of those good people. I shall always think of you Danny boy when i hear that song..Rest in peace my friend.

Danny, I will never forget our morning walks to highschool back in Glendale. We cracked jokes all the way there and sometimes, you even managed to make me laugh! I remember your sense of humour very well. Your basketball skills were something I wish I had at the time. You made friends so easily and nobody ever said a bad word about you. Although you're gone you will never be forgotten, my friend. There will always be a big place in my heart for you, Dan. Thank You for being my friend. To God, I ask in humble prayer, to accept you in His Eternal Family, and to bless you forever and ever. You are one of the good guys. So long, Danny.

Although there is nothing that anyone can say to make this easier, I wanted to share a poem with you. May you find some comfort in the words contained herein:
Do not stand by my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am the diamond's glint on snow.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the sunlight on ripening grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand by my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.
