Obituary of Mary Sostarich

SOSTARICH, Mary Born in the village of Hrasca, Jastrebarsko, Croatia on August 16, 1926, was the daughter of the late Anton and Barbara Sostarich, predeceased by her two sisters, Anne Wolf and Pepa Sostarich, dear aunt of Eric Wolf and his wife Cindy, Cindy Learn, and Lee Boles, nieces Chelsey and Sophie Wolf, Miranda and Jamie Boles, Matt Learn and her cousin Antun Sostaric, Volavlje Jastrebarsko, Croatia, very close friends John and Carol Radocaj of Hamilton, Michael and Anne Stivoric of Milwaukee, Wisconsin who looked after Mary and visited her till the day of her passing and many friends in Canada and the United States. Mary was a proud and over 75 years member of Lodge 644 of the Croatian Fraternal Union and a retired employee of the United Car Company with 27 years of service. The family will receive friends at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, July 18, 2011 from 4-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 19 at 10:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. In her memory, donations to the Hamilton Sciences Foundation for cancer research would be appreciated.
