Obituary of Vera Ivana Stanisa

STANISA, Vera Ivana It is with our deepest sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Vera Ivana Stanisa in the presence of her loving family, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Monday, May 6, 2013, in her 87th year. Will be sadly missed by her husband Frank. Loving mother of Frank Jr. and his wife Kathy, Joe, Barbara and her husband Walter and Ursula and her husband Gilles. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie, David, Christina, Michael and great-granddaughter Ameliah Vera. Predeceased by her sisters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Staff at Idlewyld Nursing Home for all of their care, and to Dr. You and all of the Nursing Staff at the Hamilton General Emergency Dept. for their loving care and compassion toward our family. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory The Great Slovenian Catholic Church, Delawana Dr. and Centennial Parkway, on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
