Obituary of Anne Stodolak
STODOLAK, Anne (nee Kacur)
Anne passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2011, in her 85th year. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) in 1999. She is survived by her son Eugene (Mary) and her daughter Cathy Hamilton (Ross). She is lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Jillian, Meredith and Laura, who were the love and focus of her life. Anne is also survived by her sisters Mary Coughlan (Brian) of Calgary and Helen Zientara (Stan) of Hamilton and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Mary Kacur. Anne was a first generation Canadian who immigrated to Canada from Czechoslovakia in 1938. She worked for many years in Hamilton while raising her family in Winona, Ontario. The family will receive friends at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, February 17 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary on Thursday, February 17 at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Highway #8, Winona on Friday, February 18 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens, Stoney Creek.
