Obituary of David Edward Straughan

STRAUGHAN, David Edward Peacefully with his family by his side, at The Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2011 at the age of 77. Loving brother to Raymond (Emily), Brian (Nancy) and Bruce (Nanc). Uncle Dave to Randy (Kim), Robyn (Don), Jamie (Andrea), Joshua (Shanyn), Tammy, Melissa (Ryan), Brent (Amanda), Elisha (Paul), Nicole (Chris) and ten great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Ann, brother Billy and sister Patty. Special thanks to all the staff at The Hamilton General Hospital for the care they provided to our brother and uncle. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive in Stoney Creek on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. An interment will be held at a later date at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA would be appreciated.
