Obituary of James (Jim) Taggart

TAGGART, James 1922 – 2012 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of James Taggart, on April 6, 2012, predeceased by wife Patricia (2005). Jim was born on May 31, 1922 in Hamilton and is the father of David (Judy), Marcia (Todd) Smoke and Linda (Ralph) Nielsen. Grandfather of Kris (Erin), Caralee (Matt), Greg, Michael, Laura and Wynonna and great-grandfather of Calvin, Macie, MacKenzie and Cole. He is predeceased by his parents Marjorie and Frank Taggart, brother Ken Taggart and sister Marion MacKay and is survived by his sister Jean Reekie. Jim was a lifelong member of the Mountain Grove Christadelphian Chapel and was a dedicated Bible student. Jim was a sheet metal contractor and owner of Frank Taggart and Sons Sheet Metal Company. Jim lived in Winona and enjoyed beekeeping, farming, gardening, golf, fishing, water colour painting and Tim Hortons. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 7-9 p.m and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on Wednesday morning followed by a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. to which all are welcome to attend. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Christadelphian Bible School, or the Bob Kemp Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
