Obituary of Christina Travis

TRAVIS, Christina “Tina” Peacefully at Ridgeview Long Term Care on Friday, September 9, 2011 in her 95th year, of Stoney Creek. Dearly beloved wife of the late Elmer Travis. Dear mother of the late Phyliss (1995) (Bob Naylor), Joan and her husband John Hammill, David and his wife Sandra, and the late Paul (1991) all of Stoney Creek. Lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren Maureen and her husband Dwayne Ferris, John-Michael and his wife Laura Hammill, Christine Hammill and her partner Tyna, Anton and his wife Erika Naylor, Rob Travis and “Little Grandma” to Megan Ferris, Jacob, Braden and Avery Hammill and Liam Naylor. Sister of Gordon and his wife Elaine of Woodstock. Predeceased by sisters Agnes and her husband Roy Fletcher, Edith and her husband Tom Paterson, Leola and her husband Art Culp, all of Hamilton. Special thanks to the staff at Ridgeview Gage House for their care over the last 5 years and also to Dr. Mizera of Juravinski Hospital. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 12 noon. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Cerebral Palsy Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
