Obituary of Hans Karl Wöhrle

WOHRLE, Hans Karl 1932 – 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce that Hans passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, April 5, 2010. Hans was the beloved husband of Shirley for 46 years and devoted father to Jennifer, Peter (predeceased in 1994) and Lisa, and father-in-law of John Kinsella. Declan and Camille Kinsella will miss their wonderful grandad. He will also be sadly missed by his brother Dieter and sister-in-law Eleonore Wöhrle in Stoney Creek and his brothers and sisters and in-laws in Germany – Ursula and Horst Nestle, Jürgen and Christel, Gerlinde, and Rainer and Helga Wöhrle. Onkel Hans will be missed by Mark, Trish and Max Woehrle, Amanda and Michael Domenichetti in Canada as well as Jorg, Susann, Carolin, Guni, Gabi, Doro, Biggi and Julia in Germany. Hans grew up in Schorndorf, Germany and arrived in Canada with his brother Dieter in 1957. He worked as a carpenter with the Local 18 for more than 30 years. Affectionately known as ‘boss’ by his brothers and sisters, Hans was a great reader, gardener, nature-lover and endless fountain of knowledge. Friends are invited to the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, April 8 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 1285 Hwy 8, Winona, on Friday, April 9 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
