Obituary of Frank Zonka

ZONKA, Frank On December 29, 2011 with his family by his side, he joined his guardian angel. Predeceased by his mother Antonia and his father Frank and brother Steve. Dear husband to his beloved wife Anne of 59 years. Devoted father to his son Barry. Lovingly remembered by his sister Mary (Bran) Grubisich and sister-in-law Dorothy. Cherished by all his nieces and nephews. From his love of hockey, joy of music, and devotion to the H.M.C.S Haida, he will always be remembered by his world of friends. A 50 year member of the Croatian National Home, a member with Lado of CNH, and Sokci of St. Thomas. Beloved member with the ZLATNI PAJDASI of Holy Cross Parish. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Juravinski Hospital, and the support of the staff from Donald V. Brown and as such, family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers offered at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
