Obituary of Gordon Alexander Blake

At the Hamilton General Hospital, on Saturday, December 14, 2013, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Doreen Ryan for 51 years. Loved father of Saundra Blake, Graham and Denise Blake and Tamara and Kevin Eady. Cherished papa of Mathieu, Ryan, Kyle, Kristopher, Scott, Stephanie, Korey, Haylie and Austin. Dear brother of Dorothy, Joan, Susan and Joyce. Predeceased by brothers Robert, Frederick, Gerald and his sister Norma. Will also be sadly missed by in-laws, his nieces and nephews and his best friend Ruby. Gordon was a retired employee of the HSR with 38 years of service. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, December 20 at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated by the family.
