Obituary of Lila Ackerman

ACKERMAN, Lila (nee Stewart) Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2008, at Arbour Creek Long Term Care Centre, in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband Millard (Bob) Ackerman, and granddaughter Gail Sleeth. Survived by her son Gordon (Ellen) Ackerman, and daughter Rowena (Ross) Kenny. Will be missed by her grandchildren Cathy (Nick) Mrmak, Kim (the late Steven) Hawkins, Gordon (Rita) Ackerman, Tasha (Mark) Hardy, great-grandchildren Erin (Allen) Cook, Jocelyn and Christopher Hawkins, Melissa Mrmak, Brittney and Derrick Ackerman, Madison Hardy, and great-great-grandson Ethan Cook. Also survived by her sister Ora Hotson. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, July 9 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
