Obituary of Melody Jane Collins

COLLINS, Melody Jane February 12, 1958 – June 19, 2010 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Melody Jane Collins on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Melody is survived by her brother Randy (Loretta), nephew Daniel and niece Vanessa all of St. Albert, Alberta. Melody will also be missed by her long time friend and companion Jim Buchan of Hamilton, Ontario. Melody was a published author, poet and writer and received her Masters’ Degree’s from McMaster University in the Classics and from the University of Toronto in English. Predeceased by her father Glen (2005) and her mother Florence (1996). Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday June 25, 2010 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Donations to the S.P.C.A. would be appreciated by the family.
