Obituary of Steven Edward Aitken

AITKEN, Steven Edward Passed away at home with his girls by his side, early Friday morning on August 15, 2008, in his 62nd year. Predeceased by his wife Lynne, son Sean, parents Robert and Mary and brother Mike. He will be missed like crazy by his daughters Stacey and Tracey (Ray). The best grandpa ever to Kaitlin, Jared and Jayden, step-grandpa to Big Jared and Jack. Much loved son-in-law of Betty Higginbottom. Steve is survived by his brother Phil, and sisters Nancy and Sharon. Much thanks to our mom Iris and the Harrell girls (Dee, Gail, Vonnie, Berta, Lucille and Valerie) for always having our backs. Thank you to the doctors and nurses of Henderson Hospital Ward 3E for their outstanding care and kindness. Steve will be remembered with smiles and love by his many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 1 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
