Obituary of Wayne Howard Conrad

CONRAD, Wayne Howard After a courageous battle with cancer, Wayne Howard Conrad went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, March 3, 2013 at McNally House Hospice in Grimsby. Wayne is survived by his wife Cathy, his children Christina (Jeff), Allyson, Melanie, and Bradley. Grandpa will be missed by Grace, Olivia, Ethan, Sarah and Lucas. He was much loved by his mother (Joyce) and his sister Janet(Rob), and brother Sheldon (Cathy). He was predeceased by his father Walter in 2000. He also was a wonderful son-in-law to Jan and Anna deVries and brother-in-law to Jack, Rob, Ben and Chris (Deb). He has many nieces and nephews who will miss his funny ways. Wayne worked for the steel industry for over 35 years having retired from Stelco in 2005 and was presently working for Taylor Steel. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Paramount Drive Alliance Church. He loved life and golf and was an avid golfer at Lookout Point Country Club in Fonthill. His many friends and acquaintances will miss his fun loving and humorous ways. His wish was for all to have the hope that he had in everlasting life promised to those who follow Christ. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Paramount Drive Alliance Church, 1035 Paramount Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, March 9 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens, Stoney Creek.
