Sincere sympathy in this time of loss. We were both pipers in Acton and Guelph pipe bands while teenagers, so feel a kinship with 'Dad'.

The world has lost a good man.
I'll always remember Uncle Allistair playing the bagpipes in parades and as an avid fisherman.
He was one of the proudest Grandfather's I've ever had the pleasure to talk to; his face beaming with love and pride as boasted of his grandchildren.
My love to Aunt Joyce, cousins Ian, Allison and their families.
RIP Uncle Allistair, someday we'll all be together again.

Joyce, Ian & Allison:
I'm very sorry to hear of Allistair's passing.
He was a great guy in the HWRP Pipes & Drums. Allistair represented the Argyll & Sutherland Highlander Regiment at my late Uncle: Sgt. Len Wheeler's funeral. For that our family will be ever so grateful, since Uncle Len was so fond of being a member of the Argyll's during WW II and who was also a co-founding member of the Hamilton Police Pipes & Drums.
Al was a good patrol Sgt, and passed on valuable advise for us "young guys" with the HWRP.
Al did not want any of us to be hurt or get into trouble. He would always show up to calls or when we least expected it, to ensure we were safe. If we made a mistake he let us know, but when we did something good, he always gave us a pat on the back and made us feel proud!
He had a soft side to him that many of us never saw too often. He liked a good joke, and would participate in horse-play providing our "victim" wasn't hurt. He was a very good Piper and prided himself as a member of the HWRP Pipe Band and the Argyll & Sutherland Highland Pipes & Drums
Rest in peace and tell Robby Burns he has a new Piper!
