Obituary of David Edward Croucher
CROUCHER, David Edward
With heavy hearts we sadly say goodbye to David Edward, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, who passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, December 27, 2009, at the age of 77. He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Pauline, his daughters Donna Windsor (Chris) and Kelli Deane (Chris) and his beloved granddaughter Stephanie “Princess” Cecchelli. Also missed by his step-grandchildren Lauren and Justin Deane and Ryan (Lindsay) and Ashley Windsor; and his favourite feline, Gabby. Dave touched numerous lives with his quick wit, sense of humour, kindness and devotion to his family. He was a stationary engineer at Stelco for 25 years before he retired in 1992. Dave was an avid bowler and golfer, but his greatest satisfaction came from spending time with his family. The family will celebrate David’s life at DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, January 2, 2010, with visitation from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m., immediately followed by a memorial service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
