Obituary of Melvyn Harris

Peacefully, at his home, on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Lynne of 39 years. Cherished father of Leanne and her husband Stephen Bastarache. Devoted grandfather of Ethan. Will be greatly missed by his many family members in Canada and England. Mel was proud to have served as a Royal Marine and enjoyed the 23 years that he had spent working at McNally and Sons. He loved a good game of dominos and was quick to tell a joke. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Juravinski Hospital as well as the nurses from the VON. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
