Obituary of Jacob de Winter

Passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Predeceased by his wife Anne (1992). Beloved father of Michelle Wood (Mark). Grandfather of Kendra (Tim) and Sara, as well as a Great-Grandfather to Abigail. Cherished companion to Darlene Phillips, and will be missed by Robert and Valerie, Sheila and Mike, Lisa and Joe, along with all of their children. Brother to John of Owen Sound, and predeceased by sister Clara Klerks. Jay will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Jay was an active member of Roxborough Park Presbyterian Church, and will also be missed by his many friends at Grand Oaks Park. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Jay’s life will take place on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
