We have such fond memories of Aunt Dorothy and her ability to enjoy entertaining those around her with stories from her many experiences, whether life growing up on the farm or her nursing career or a commentary on life in general. Her love of family always came through and clearly she enjoyed sharing stories. We know that your many fond memories will be cherished and the extraordinary presence that the Lady had will be missed by all who knew her. You all are in our thoughts.

Aunt Dorothy was one of my favourite strong, opinionated women and someone I admired greatly. I remember the day she pierced my ears with an ice cube in her kitchen - and I only fainted a little. She was the only person my mother would trust with such a serious task - and I was thirteen! Aunt Dorothy was a great story teller and the levels of laughter and love rose every time she joined in the conversation. My love to Uncle Ted and the family.

My most sincere sympathy to Ted, and family. I have many fine memories of Dorothy in her years as and Operating Room nurse at the Hamilton General Hospital, where she was appreciated for her commitment and loyalty to those in her care. Pat LeBlanc

She sought me out at a blood donor clinic 'cause she wanted to ensure that no one else got to hurt me. We shared adresses on Glen Road in the '70s & would, in an evening, wander up for a visit. Dorothy always had a story & made us feel welcome. I am glad she was one of us. Hugs to all.

To the wonderful family of Dorothy Turner: we loved Dorothy with all our hearts. She was our next door neighbor in our first home and was like a second Mom, always there to help us and teach us but never to judge us. She was first class in every way. Our thoughts are with you through this difficult time.

I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Dorothy. I know how much she meant to Ted and will be missed by the entire family. The dedication of Sara, Jane and Mary in the care of their mother was a remarkable display of love. I’m sure Dorothy is looking down on them with admiration.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ted and the whole family. We know what a struggle it has been for the family these past years. We will remember all the great times at family events, particularly those in Nantocoke and at family reunions. Dorothy was Alyea a lady even when being "feisty".

My deepest condolences to Uncle Ted and the whole family. May Dorothy be at peace at last. As we grieve the loss of a once robust and sincere soul we can remember the great sense of humour, the way Dorothy told a story, the wonderful career she had & the 3 great girls she and Ted raised. I have many great memories of the visits to Shady Lawn Farms over the many years, by the Turner clan, and will cherish them all and forever. God Bless all, Deb Snowden French & family
