Obituary of Jo-Ann Duguay

Jo-Ann passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton after a long battle with cancer at the age of 69. Jo-Ann grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The family moved to Quebec where she met and married her late husband, Gaston Duguay. Jo, as she was often called as well as mom, Gramma, and Grammy, will be missed by her whole “famdamily” as she affectionately referred to us. Cherished mother to Sheri (Bryan) Grigsby, Chantal (Earl) Pedersen, and Jaimie (Shane) Ford. Predeceased by brother Terrence Saunders and sister Jinny Harrison (the late Bill). Survived by sister Sue Main (the late Dave), and Rosie Moore (Jimmy). Loving Grandmother to Calsi, Jessi, Kali, Lena, Molly and Charlie, as well as the outlaws (LOL), nieces, nephews, and friends. Thank you to all at St. Joseph’s who took part in caring for Jo in the Urology ward (nurses rock), as well as a special thank you to Dr. Boyle and Dr. Woods. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday from 6-9 p.m. A celebration of Jo’s life will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
