Please pass my condolences for the death of Stan Paluck to my old friend from high school days, his son, Rich Paluck. I remember Rich's father well -- he was indeed a good and honest man, as said in his obit. Fortunately he lived a long, full and satisfying life. Rich, I'd be glad to hear from you again. It's been many years. Barry Lord blord@lord.ca 416 451 2206

Hi Richard, Lorraine & Christine: Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He sure lived a full life. I have many good memories of Uncle Stan. Most go back to the 50's and to Balmoral Avenue when you and I hung out, Richard. Uncle Stan was always interested in my young life and we had some good discussions, many of them about the kids. Remember "reading" PLAYBOY from under your bed so Uncle Stan didn't discover us? Many good stories from Wenhams library. He was always full of life and enjoyed it at the Polish picnics. He and your Mom, Auntie Henie, always made me welcome at your home. How are you 3 doing? Edy and I are enjoying life. We spend summers in our Port Elgin house, have a condo in 20 Place, Mount Hope and spend winter in Florida. If you are ever in the Port Elgin area please drop in to see us. We are there for 6 months. Are you still out in B.C., Richard? Would love to catch up sometime. We have a son in Victoria. Again, sorry for your loss. Will have a pilsner (or two) for Uncle Stan. Love, Jerry & Edy Joy

Gayle: It is absolutely wonderful to hear from you. Yes, our fathers shared so many special experiences - work, golf, bridge, social events, and yes, even more golf! They were great friends for many, many years. In fact, during my father's final days, he vividly reminisced about the good times that he had experienced. He wanted to tell my brother Richard and I about his good friends. He spoke fondly about his years at Carr- Fastener TRW and his work mates - and especially of his affection and remembrance of his good friend, Clarence Fess. Gayle - thank you so much for contacting us at this time when we are sad to lose him but also happy to celebrate a life fully lived and enjoyed to the fullest.

What a wonderful life! As soon as I saw the picture and read the name, I knew that was my dad's co-worker and friend and then the next connection came to light....I worked with Lorraine at Mohawk College. My sincerest condolences to your family on the loss of your father. And yes, 97, is way past our expectations. Our fathers had so much in common, the skilled tool and die maker, the company that provided them a good life (and the annual Christmas party for the kids!), bridge, golf and vegetable gardening. I even recall that both of them taught briefly at Mohawk College Saltfleet Campus after their respective retirements. I think my sister Sandy (who lives in Arizona) and I used to listen through the bedroom walls when our parents were playing bridge together...........don't know what we were expecting to hear!. I'll have to rack my brain for other fond memories. I will toast our fathers today! Keep well, Sincerely, Gayle
