Obituary of Christopher Harold Darby

DARBY, Christopher Harold Peacefully, in his 96th year, on December 8th, 2013, at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Chris passed away two weeks after the loss of his beloved wife Helen Elizabeth. Dearest father to Jacqueline (Wayne) Robinson, Jim (Cheryl), Marilyn, and Janice (Jim) Picha. Proud grandfather to Steve, Glenn, Jay, Christopher, and loving great-grandfather to Trent, Connor, Tayrn, Jessica, and Kate. He is survived by his brother Wilf. Chris was a Maintenance Supervisor with the Hamilton Board of Education from 1950-1983. He was also a member of the Masonic order for 50 years. A private family interment will take place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are invited to a reception to celebrate the life of Chris on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at the Stoney Creek United Church, (King Street at Lake Avenue) from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, 167 Main St. E., Grimsby, ON L3M 1P2, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
