Obituary of Romolo D'Aurora

Passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on Thursday, June 26, 2014, in his 86th year. Romolo was predeceased by Maria, his loving wife of 49 years, who passed away 8 years ago. Loving Father of Frank and his wife Gracinda, Geni D’Aurelio and her husband Paul and Peter and his wife Holly. Proud Nonno of Amanda, Paula, Ciarah, Joia, Sophia and Lauryn. Born in Pettorano sul Gizio, Romolo will be remembered by his extended family in Italy, Calgary and Boston. Romolo retired from Stelco after 29 years of service. Many thanks to the staff at Lakeview Retirement Community, Dr. Beverly Hattersley and the caring nurses at St. Peter’s Hospital. Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment and reception will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
