Obituary of John Lyon

Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, July 21, 2014 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Shirley for over 69 years. Devoted father of Peter and his wife Mary, and Anita. Grandpa will be missed by Donna (Kyle), Susan (Dan) and special great-grandpa of Julia, Mason and Jessie. John was in the RCAF and did a tour of opts with the 420 squadron, he was also a lifetime member of the Stoney Creek Radio Control Model Club and retiree of Local 18 Carpenter Union. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
