Obituary of Zlata-Marija Kopecny

Born in Zagreb, Croatia on March 16, 1923 to Frank and Stefania Luksic (Thomas), Zlata passed away peacefully on August 6, 2014 at the Clarion Nursing Home in her 92nd year. Zlata is predeceased by her beloved husband Ivan (2013) and was a proud mother to Marijan and mother-in-law to Ivanka. Cherished grandmother to Thomas Kopecny, Sonja Holmes (Clayton) and great-grandmother to Calder, Taegan and Hailee. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday, August 10 from 3-6 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family would like to thank staff at the Clarion Nursing Home for their devoted care and support during Zlata’s stay.
