So very sad. Joanne and I have known each other since we were 12 years old. I have many wonderful memories of her and our teen years. She was fearless, super smart, beautiful and fiercely independent. We breezed through the early seventies together, going to concerts, hitchhiking on summer days to Confederation Park, hanging around Kresge's downtown. We talked about anything and everything. She was always interested and interesting. And wise. I valued her opinion greatly. Although our lives took us in separate directions, we would connect from time to time and it was like old times. We could pick up where we left off and away we'd go. She was so proud of her boys. Mark and Daniel, you were a gift to her. My sincere condolences to you and your Dad and the whole family. She was a sweetheart and she will be missed.
