Obituary of Gloria Geraldine Pretty

1927-2014 It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gloria Pretty at Hamilton General Hospital on September 6, 2014. Predeceased by her husband Jacob (Reginald) Pretty. Beloved and devoted mother of Charlene (Manas), Norman (Brenda), Laurie and Brian. Dear grandmother of Jenna, Kerrie, Heather (Mike), Paula and Olivia and great-grandmother of Liam Michael. Gloria, born in Cobalt, Ontario, survived by her sister Joyce Allick in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gloria was a warm and caring person, always putting others first. She devoted her life to her family. Thank you to Dr. Mohamed’s team, and the staff on 4 West and 8 South at the Hamilton General Hospital for the patience and special care to Gloria. Cremation and a private family service to be held. A memorial service will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
