Obituary of Mario Bartolini
With great sadness we announce that, peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Friday Oct 10, 2014, Mario passed away surrounded by the loving support of his wife and daughters. He is survived by his wife and true love, Frieda; his daughters Linda, Laura and Donna; his sister, Lea Corsini and nephews Leonard and Brian Corsini. Dearly remembered by his grandchildren, who will miss their Boppa: Ray, Davis, Romi, Jamie, Oliver, Sophi and Declan. Predeceased by his parents, Annunziata and Antonio Bartolini, brother Frank Bartolini, brother-in-law Don Corsini, sister-in-law Evelyn Schneller and son-in-law Andy Knight. Mario was a true Brightsider all of his life, loyal to his childhood friends and community. Mario was a practising and well-respected lawyer in the city of Hamilton for 46 years, appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1981, and the founding partner of his law firm. He is remembered as an advocate who truly cared for his clients. Mario was known to his wide circle as a kind, thoughtful and loving man, quick with a story or song, and good company. He was a member of Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Parish, possessing a true and abiding faith. Gratitude to Father Charlie Galea, and to Dr. Erick Duan and all the ICU doctors, nurses and staff at the Juravinski Hospital. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Parish (corner of Barton St. and Nash Rd.) on Thursday October 16, 2014 at 9 a.m. Cremation to follow.
