Obituary of Robert Ernest Penfold

Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, Robert Ernest Penfold passed away on November 3, 2014 at Hamilton General Hospital. He will be sorely missed by his wife Laurelee “Mom/Jugs” of 54 years. Dad to Scott (Myra), Tracey and Jamie (Michelle). Grampa Pooh will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Paul (Maddie), Danny (Jenny), Jessica (Mike), Justin (Coral) and Amanda. Great-Grampa Pooh will be dearly missed by the lights of his life, Joey, Mia and Sophie. His sisters-in-law Barb and Donna, nieces and nephews, along with many friends, will certainly miss “Big Bob”. “The Bear” was a proud owner/operator for more than 40 years. He was happiest behind the wheel of any truck as long as it was a Western Star. We, the family, appreciated the care and concern shown to Bob by his doctors, Dr. Finkelstein and Dr. Brimble, his PC nurses Sharon and Jen and especially the nurses at Dialysis – King St. Unit. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, November 7, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
