Dear Jim, Tom and Ruth, We have been thinking of Jean and you over the past several days. Reay was such a patient and positive uncle. We always enjoyed his quiet manner and ability to see another person's point of view. He had some very tough things to deal with (Jessie, David, ...) but he seemed (at least on the outside) to be able to cope with those exceptionally sad circumstances with grace and dignity. I have memories of him sitting on the front deck of your cottage slicing vegetables to make Chinese food, his patience and concentration on a small job such as that, reflected in my mind, his whole approach to life.
