Obituary of Bamford Scott Gratto
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a man of great faith and courage. At home, surrounded by his family, Bam departed this world for Heaven on November 18th, 2014 at the age of 60. Beloved husband and best friend of Jane (nee Elliot) for 37 years. Loving father of Lisa (Matthew), Angela (Andrew) and Trevor (Jacqueline). Cherished grandfather of Ezra, Valerie, Matthijs, Meredith, Isla, Stuart and Hadley. Sadly missed by his siblings, Joyce, Betsy, Carol (Cliff), Marion, Kathy (Tom), Helen, Kathy (Danny) and Jackie, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Trevor and Shirley, and sisters, Guyletta and Peggy. Bam was an employee of National Steel Car and recently retired after 35 years of dedicated service. Bam was a devoted family man, but also treasured his Mazda RX-7 and enjoyed restoring old cars in his spare time. Visitation at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with a celebration of his life to take place on Friday, November 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial donations can be made to Faith Baptist Church where Bam was an active member.
