Obituary of Deborah Ann Lockhart

After a brief battle with cancer, Deborah passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at St. Peter’s Hospital, on Sunday, November 23, 2014, in her 57th year. Beloved and Cherished wife of Bill for 33 years. Loving mother of Scott and Megan, and her husband Kenneth Cole. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Lillian Gavey. Dear sister of Don Gavey, Dennis Gavey (Val), Dianne Stouph and Brenda Kros (Terry). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Debby enjoyed working for many years as a medical secretary and upon retirement she volunteered her time at the Stoney Creek Food Bank. A devout member of Cheyne Presbyterian Church, she lived her life in service to others. Debby will be forever missed by all of her family, friends and co-workers. Special thanks to Deb Evans, Dr. Bev and the Palliative Care Team at St. Peter’s Hospital for all of their compassion and care toward Debby. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, (King and First St., Stoney Creek) on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens, Stoney Creek.
