Obituary of Patricia (Patty) Dawdy

DAWDY, Patricia (Patty) After a long and courageous battle with cancer, our Angel sister Patty passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008, in her 48th year. Predeceased by her parents Kaye and Garnet and brother-in-law Rick Gillespie. She leaves behind brothers Gary (Gayle), Wayne (Marlene) and sisters Marlene Gillespie and Elva (Alfred) Francalanza. Proud Aunty and Great Aunty to Kim (Sam), Shawn, Tracey, Daniel (Stacy), Kaitlyn, Colin, Erica, Rachel, Jacob, Sammy, Ethan, Laurie, Sandra and Jennifer. Special thank you to the caring and compassionate staff on the 3rd floor Palliative Care Unit, Henderson Hospital. Patty was a dedicated employee of Avon for 25 years. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 27 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. It is so hard to let you go. We love you Patty.
