Obituary of Anne Elizabeth Maguire

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden, but peaceful, passing of Anne in her home on Monday, February 2, 2015 in her 93rd year. Pre-deceased by her loving husband, John (Jack) Anthony Maguire of 54 years, predeceased by her eldest daughter, Patricia Anne Marie Maguire, cherished by her son, John Anthony Maguire and daughter, Theresa Elizabeth Maguire-Garber, loving Mother-in-Law to Larry Akcin, Nicki Maas and Noel Michael Garber, proud Grandmother to Rita, Shannon, Ryan and Noel, and Great-Grandmother to Lauren, Emma, Lily, Liam and Jane, predeceased by her brothers Henry (Curly) Iles and Joe Altamore, loving Sister-in-Law, Aunt and Friend to many whose lives she touched with her kindness. No one word can described the beautiful soul that Anne possessed – she always displayed kindness, love, compassion, sympathy, empathy, tolerance, acceptance and joy. Thank you to the many caregivers of the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) CCAC and CBI Home Health Care who provided devoted care to Anne which allowed her to stay in her own apartment, something that was very important to Anne and her family. Donations to the HNHB CCAC in memory of Anne would be appreciated. Visitation at Donald V Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue, Stoney Creek on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. with service following at 1:00 pm. Interment at Mountview Gardens in Stoney Creek, just east of Fruitland Road off of Highway 8, to follow.
