Obituary of Robert James Pinner

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert James Pinner on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in his 90th year surrounded by his loving family at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Devoted husband of Marie for over 65 years. Cherished father of Debbie (Morris), Dennis (Anna), Cheri (Doug) Shaw. Beloved Papa of Kris, Matt (Michelle), Courtney, Carly (Jaime), Katie, Andrew (Lindsay), Dana, Adam and Marty. Papa will also be missed by his 5 great-grandsons. Loving brother of Brenda (Art), Shirley (the late Ray) and Reg (Gwen) and the late Richard (Gladys). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Robert was a proud Naval Veteran of WWII. He was an elder and sang in the choir at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, volunteered at Kiwanis Club and the police services. Robert had a passion for cars and loved his many management positions at Rankin Ford in London Ontario and a proud retired owner/operator with his son- in -law Morris of Maaco Auto Painting in Stoney Creek. A very special thank you for the outstanding care and support he received from the team at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church on Saturday February 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Kidney Foundation, Kiwanis Club or Cheyne Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family. www.donaldvbrown.ca
