Obituary of George Stafford Lill

Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on February 12, 2015 with his family by his side in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Parsons) for 55 years. Cherished father of Julie Tickle (Marty), Stephen Lill (Lynn), Kevin Lill (Sharon) and Janet Manoukian (Brian). Grandfather of Kenneth, Chantel, Christine, Matthew, Michael, Kirsten, Jack, Lauryn and Jordan. Great-grandfather of Dolan, Trenton, Colton, Zehra, Zayneb, Isaiah and Elisia. Brother of Maureen Cranwell (Brian) and the late Molly Cleary (Joseph). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Thanks to the nurses and staff of 3F Medicine for their exceptional care of George during his stay. George worked for Olon Industries for over 20 years before retiring. George was a member of Fifty Point Marina for 20 years, an avid sailor, and gardener. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 12:30pm until the time of Funeral Service at 2:30pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Reception to follow at the Powerhouse Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
