Obituary of Marion Almas

ALMAS, Marion (Johnson) At West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 7, 2011, in her 85th year. Wife of the late John Almas. Beloved mother of Shirley and her husband Pete Volpini, Sheilla D'Andrea and her husband Gary Andrews, Valerie Franks and her husband Terry Rennie and John Almas. Mother-in-law of Brenda Almas. Loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Dear sister of John Johnson and his wife Kay and Yvonne Fisher and her husband Lorne. Predeceased by her son Gerald, her sisters Evelyn (John Hausechild) and Anna (John Krause) and her brother Rodney Johnson. Marion was an avid member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #58 and will always be remembered by her friends at Austin's Trailer Park and her passion for Bingo. Special thanks to the staff at the Stoney Creek Life Care Centre for their compassionate care and kindness. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday, MARCH 15th at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
