I look upon the face of my friend Eli in this obituary and remember that his birthday was this week. I'm so sorry for our loss. We who knew him in Smithville loved his laugh, his caring, and his love for his family and his friends.. We miss you Eli. Helen, my old friend. I remember Eli when we were kids. He turfed us out of the TV room more times than I can remember. He walked to Green Acres with us and kept us safe from getting into trouble. Although we haven't seen each other in many years, my memories of that time are still quite alive. I am very sorry to hear of your family's loss. Eli played a very significant role in my formative years. We all know he could be a hot head, but he was a very sweet and generous person the majority of the time. Mr. and Mrs. Jovanovic, Helen and family, My deepest condolences on the loss of your son and brother. I will always remember Eli's boisterous voice, infectious laughter and energetic and kind-hearted nature.
