My name is Cate, and I knew Steve from St. Mary's. Not extremely well, but enough to pop into his office to chat or say hi if I was over that way, or in line at Tim Horton's with him, or even once at the grocery store. Enough to think that he was sweetly shy, had beautiful blue eyes, and one of the friendliest faces I knew. I wish now that I had chatted with him in the grocery store instead of a delighted but hurried hello. I wish that when I sat beside him at our last meeting, I had told him that as much as I don't love tatts, I thought his ship was one of the most beautiful pieces of art I've seen. I wish I hadn't assumed that I would have years of getting to know him. He has lingered with me all week, I am full of regrets, and sorrow. Most of all, I am so sorry for his family and friends who will now have to endure his absense, you who loved and admired him so much, and were blessed by him. May you be comforted by your beautiful memories.

So very saddened by the passing of Steven.His dad was my son's coach in PW House, and played hockey in Glanbrook for many seasons with Steven. Lots of close friends very shocked to hear this terrrible news. Our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate Family .No parent should have to lose their child. This is so very sad.

To the Plunkett Family I was very saddened and shocked to hear of Steves passing. In his position as HR Analyst with St. Mary's Hospital, I had the pleasure of working with Steve, albeit on opposite sides of the bargaining table. He was wonderful to work with. He carried himself with great professionalism, tempered with real warmth, and an incredible sense of humour. We did share a number of laughs. On behalf of our union, UNIFOR, I extend to the family my deepest condolences. I hope you find peace at this time. Please know Steve was greatly respected and will be tremendously missed. Jeff, Tiffany, Raelyn and the Plunkett Family; My heart is heavy over the loss of your dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and son.
