Obituary of Douglas Michael Schur

SCHUR, Douglas Michael Peaceful on Friday, December 18, 2015 with his son by his side at the age of 73 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton Ontario. He is survived by his son Douglas (Valorie) and daughter Kimberly. He will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren and especially Jimmy Schur and the late Pamela with whom he shared a special bond. Doug spent his retirement years in Dunnville, Ontario after having served 23 years of continued service with Dofasco. Doug was an avid fisherman with a love for the outdoors. He will always be remembered for his charismatic personality, unusual wit, stoking a wood stove in his garage and lifelong passion for old cars and trucks. But most of all he will be remembered for all the laughter he gave to his large circle of friends and family. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek., on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 12 noon until the time of the service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
