Obituary of Frederick Robert Duffield

DUFFIELD, Frederick Robert Passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Hamilton General Hospital, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Grace. Devoted father of Fred Duffield Jr. (deceased), Robert (Bob) and his wife Marg, Ron and his wife Mary. Cherished grandfather of Kaona. Dear brother of the late Doreen (the late Wilf), Norma (the late Bill), Lloyd (Penny), the late Roy (the late Lois). Fred was a 71 year member of the Carpenters Union Local 18 and retired from Frid Construction after 47 years of service. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Hamilton General Hospital for the care they provided to Fred during his recent hospitalizations. We would also like to thank the nurses of Bayshore Home Health, the PSW’s from CBI Home Health and the CCAC for the home care provided to Fred. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
