Obituary of Peter Alexander Wedeles

WEDELES, Peter Alexander After an enjoyable Christmas season, Peter passed away peacefully on January 3, 2016, with family by his side at the age of 58. Peter of Grimsby, grew up in Oakville, where he formed many strong and enduring friendships and raised a family in Grimsby, where he had a fulfilled life.He is survived by Kathie, his wife of thirty years, whom he loved with all his heart; his children Jennifer, Christopher and daughter-in-law Julia, all of whom he adored; his brother Christopher (Liz), a lifelong friend; and sister Judy to whom he was always a protective big brother. The most important things to Pete were his family and friends, who will remember him for his love of hockey, cars and telling of bad jokes. A husband, father, brother and dear friend, Peter was a caring, warm-hearted gentleman and for these qualities he will always be remembered and loved. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, January 7 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, January 8 at 1:00pm.
