Obituary of Pietro Salvatore Mauri

MAURI, Pietro Salvatore Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 17, 2016 Pietro entered into Heaven to be with his loving wife Rosina who predeceased him in September 1991. Pietro was born in Pacentro, Italy to a hardworking farming family later moving to Venezuela before immigrating to Canada in 1961 to provide a better opportunity for his family. He will be deeply missed by his children Enrica Huston and her husband Gord and Mauro and his fiancée Rosemary. Cherished Nonno of Dean (Leanne), Sarah (Tyler) and Great Nonno of Dainan, Drew and Avery. He is survived by his siter Angela Ciccone, brother-in-law Guiseppe Ciccone, sister-in-law Rosaria Ciccone and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to his companion, Marcella Rosa for the care, support and friendship she provided over the past few years. The family is eternally grateful to Comare Maria and Compare Alberto Rubino who blessed us with many years of love, support and friendship. Pietro will now be driving the SLVROSE with Rosina by his side and watching his beloved Leafs from Heaven. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Parish on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
