Obituary of Dorothy Puddicombe

PUDDICOMBE, Dorothy (Bobbe) Passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 in her 94th year. Bobbe was raised in Napanne and since her marriage in 1947 lived in Winona. Daughter of the late Wilfred S. Wilson and Ruth Isabel Wilson. Predeceased by brother Murray Wilson and survived by sister Janet Fairclough, Grimsby. She is survived by her husband Lew, children Murray and his wife Carol, Bill and his wife Joan, Leslie and Janie, and 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Bobbe graduated from Peterborough Normal Teachers College and taught in Ottawa and Napanee, and did supply teaching in Winona area after getting married. She worked alongside her husband Lew for a number of years, enjoying many facets of the farming business. Bobbe also enjoyed several years as a member of the St. John’s Anglican Church choir in Winona and in her latter years attended St. Georges Anglican Church. There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church. Interment will be at Fifty Cemetery, Highway #8, Winona.
