A message for Teresa Weber Bill, characteristically, wanted no fuss and "no public service". We completely understand. But I wanted you to know that today, in the Royal York Library Bar (which was our traditional meeting place and lunch spot) a group of us, all retired HR Executives, are gathering to raise a glass in Bill's memory. We will reminisce about a good friend, a valued colleague, a sadly under-practiced golfer, a generous-hearted and unfailingly optimistic gentleman. Two of us in particular, myself and Ian Hendry, were golfing partners with Bill - and were beneficiaries of his famous hip-flask - for which we are eternally grateful. We share in your loss. We revere his memory. We are very sorry to miss a good friend.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Bill Weber. He was one of the kindest and most gentle people I've ever met. I used to work with him at Drake. He possessed a huge resevoir of knowledge and experience yet remained extremely humble. His unassuming graciousness and modesty marked all his ways. He was a trusted advisor and a mentor who always, forthcomingly and similingly, shared his nuggets of wisdom with me. He has had a profound positive impact on my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this dificult time. May his soul rest in peace.

Dear Teresa and family:
We were so sorry to hear about Bill. Please accept our most heartfelt condolences for a such wonderful husband, father, grandfather and human being. Knowing Bill since he was in his late teens, I remember him always as a person of integrity, thoughtfulness and kindness, and once he was married, a loving family man. I am a Drake employee that relocated with the business 7 months back and was introduced to Bill Weber as our internal Human Resources VP. Setting up a new brand in a new city with no one knowing you was never going to be straightforward and Bill knew this. He often asked me how I am settling in and was my go to man for ideas on navigating the North American business landscape. He was extremely personable, quickly became a mentor, trusted advisor and confidante. I found Bill to be a kind and gracious human being and vividly recall every interaction his amiable smile and encouraging words. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family on his demise.

Very sorry to hear about Bill's death. I met Bill when I was out of work about 15 years ago, after my employer had closed its doors. Bill was in a Sr. Human Resources role and he helped me with my networking; I always remembered how very helpful and friendly he was towards me, which in turn created a commitment in me to do the same for anyone else who needed that same kind of support, which I have always since given.
Bill and I crossed paths every now and then over the years since we met, usually at the Appleby Go Train station in the morning as we were each going into Toronto. He always had a smile and we would have a great chat. Thanks Bill - you were a special friend and will be missed.
