Obituary of William (Bill) Harrison

HARRISON, William (Bill) Peacefully at Lakeview Retirement Residence on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in his 96th year. Predeceased by loving wife Annie May “Pat”. Loved father of Ron (deceased) and wife Barb, Bruce and wife Kim, Marilyn and husband Mike Maynard. Grandfather to Rachel, Rebekah, Sarah, Carly, Melissa, Amanda, Shawn, Krista and Colin. Great grandfather to Emma and Fallon, and Alaric. Dear friend of Marjorie Anderson. Bill is also predeceased by his brother Frank. Will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Born in Bolton England on February 17, 1921. He was a retired R.C.A.F. Veteran of W.W. II, having served overseas in England, North Africa and Italy. Long time member of St. John United Church (Hamilton), former member of Glendale Gold and Curling Club. He was a founding partner of Harrison Lumber and Penn Building Centre’s. Bill was an active member of the community, and volunteer, and a benevolent supporter of people and passion. Cremation has taken place. A private family service to follow.
