Obituary of Gordon Hildreth

HILDRETH, Gordon Margaret has called Gordon in from the field for the last time. He passed away peacefully at Albright Manor on Monday, March 7, 2016 in his 89th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret (Horning) of 55 years. Dearly loved father of Nancy and her husband Bill Grills, Karen and her husband Trent Dayboll, Neil and his wife Christine, Bruce and his wife Michele. Loving grandfather of Gord, Bob and Jayne Grills, Tracy Dayboll, Connie Laidlaw, Whitney Delaney, Yvonne Hildreth, Laura Kralt and 7 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of George, Jean and Gladys. Predeceased by Ruby and Nellie. Will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the 4th floor staff of Albright Manor for the special care and attention that Gord received. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Tweedside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
