Obituary of Bob (Blaz) Bregar

BREGAR, Bob (Blaz) Passed away peacefully in his 80th year on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Born in Orljakovo, Croatia in 1935 to Filip and Katarina. He lived most of his life in the Hamilton and Stoney Creek area. Beloved husband of the late Gladys of 46 years. Bob was a devoted husband and family man. Will be remembered as a passionate man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was very honest, social and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a dedicated employee at Consumers Glass for 35 years. In his spare time he enjoyed his garden, swimming and spending time with his family and friends. Bob was extremely loving and proud of his two children, Walter (Susan) and Pamela. Loving grandfather of Tyler, Meghan and Joshua. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters Barica, Ljubica (Zlatko), Sofie, and brother Josip (Milka). Lovingly remembered and missed by other family members and friends in Canada, U.S.A. and Croatia. The family will receive friends at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 700 Chapel Hill Rd., Hamilton (2 miles East of Centennial).
