Obituary of Jimmy Pieters

PIETERS, Jimmy Peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family at the age of 79. Beloved Husband of the late Carole. Cherished father of Irma (Randy), Marianne (John), Nancy (Greg), and Jim (Cristina). Loving grandfather of Stephen, Andrea, Johnathan, Christopher, Jamie-Lynn, Dalton, Jessica, Juliet, Gillian and the late Robyn. Jimmy was also soon to be great-grandfather. Jimmy was a proud employee of Stelco Hilton Works and a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 622. Friends will be received on Friday, March 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek. A service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund or the Canadian Mesothelioma Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
