Stachurski, Mark Jerry Constable with Brantford Police Department It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mark Stachurski announce the sudden passing of a remarkable father, son, brother and friend while on vacation in Cuba on March 19, 2016 at the age of 54 years. Mark was the eldest of three children of Aniela and the late Frank Stachurski, and the cherished father of Andrew and Katrina. He will be dearly missed by his sister Rose and husband Henry Wegiel, and brother Henry and Jodi. Mark was the devoted uncle of Julia, Daniella, and Natalie, Darien, Cayley, and Alison. He will also be remembered by family and friends in Poland, USA and Australia. Mark’s childhood dream came true when he began his career as a police officer with the Brantford Police Department on May 28, 1987. He received many commendations throughout his career while consistently being praised for his thoroughness, compassion and professionalism. Most will affiliate Mark with the “C” Platoon, but he also spent many years in the Community & Youth Services Section as a DARE Officer and High School Resource Officer. Mark also enjoyed coaching the Special Olympic power Lifting Team from Brantford. Mark’s greatest passion was his children – sports, fitness, adventures, and traveling.
